An autumn wedding at Domaine de la Châsse

After a pregnancy session on the Atlantic coast and a family session in Paris, I met up with Manon and Kévin near Rennes, for their autumn wedding at Domaine de la Châsse.

I was discovering this place for the first time. I fell under the spell of the château, its elegant salons and the Orangerie and its light. I took advantage of my early arrival to take the background photos and set the scene in the gallery. It was an autumn day, early November. We began the shoot with the bride and groom getting ready, surrounded by their loved ones.

The two lovers then discovered each other in a lounge and we took a few couple photos. I was very inspired by the location and the light... Between the light rain but also the sun breaking through the clouds, and my joy at finding this lovely couple on their big day, I had a wonderful morning.

They trusted me to take photos with their witnesses. I gave them the opportunity to shoot blurred images and movement, and we had plenty of time before leaving for the town hall.

THE WEDDING CELEBRATION

After a quick trip to the town hall, we headed off to the church for the religious ceremony. A very solemn, important moment for the couple, which ended with an incredible outing under the autumn leaves. The whole day was punctuated by the autumnal theme and warm colors, and was a pleasure to photograph.

Back to the estate to start the cocktail party in the château's salons. As winter approached, the sun was setting earlier and earlier, and it was getting cold. So everything was done indoors, and it was much more challenging to get a nice soft rendering since we had to shoot everything with flash: vin d'honneur, group photos (which will remain private for the couple)... And a few couple photos to get to the Orangerie where the evening was to continue. I really like the result!

The evening was colorful and very festive. From the candlelit dinner to the bouquet toss, the pièce montée, the first dance or the red thread that invited everyone to dance and sing... It was important for me to capture this warm, friendly and super joyful aspect!

This autumn wedding at Domaine de la Châsse marked the end of my 2022 season, and in the best possible way! Thank you Manon and Kévin for your trust. Thank you also for this beautiful moment by your side. And I hope to see you soon for even more beautiful images.
